I was stuck inside on Monday and again today. My camera was itching to go out and capture the winter landscape around my town of Skillman. I didn’t go too far.
I drove along Cherry Valley Road under tree branches heavy with snow and ice. Ice-balls and snow fell onto the car as I drove. I drove up to Great Road (Route 601) and into Skillman Park. I got a few shots there before getting over to Burnt Hill Road and then up to Skillman Road.
I got some shots of the farm fields, now completely covered with snow.
From Skillman Road, I went onto Great Road and pulled over near the high school to get some shots of Selody farm.
Then back onto Skillman Road and then onto Burnt Hill Road toward Route 518.
From 518 I pulled into Mountain View Road where I got some photos of the hay bails. Then back onto Cherry Valley Road toward home.
I stopped to take a photo of the “Blue House” then headed home.
