iBGStar

What Sanofi has done today is bigger then a meter, what they’ve done is throw down the gauntlet. Much like when Apple first introduced the iPhone, the release of this product says, “no more clunky technology that looks like it’s from a 1976 sci-fi movie”.I think Scott nails it. The iBGStar could be the fire under the feet of the market players to give us more than the same warmed over crap every year. The last “innovation” in glucometer tech was when OneTouch started offering the Ultra mini in multiple colors. The iBGStar raises the bar

For a technophile and person with diabetes, like myself, blood glucose meters seem like products stuck in the 1980s. Although my glucose meter has the ability to record and download data for the many tests I take throughout the day there has been no easy way to do so. Different meters need different cords, uploading is sometimes time-consuming, and programs are often incompatible with Macs or not very user-friendly. Glooko aims to change all that. I just ordered this cable from Amazon.com and I’ve downloaded the Glooko app.. The cable should arrive this week and I’m excited to us it.
