Brewer's notes

Our Hop Freshener series simplifies your choice of which beer to enjoy right now. Just read the name and you’ll know exactly what to expect. After all, those dank and piney notes you enjoy so much? That’s really just your nose doing its job, and proof you should trust your senses. Each season, we release a limited edition using different aromatic and flavorful hop combinations to bring out a specific character. Four IPAs, each available just once a year, and all crafted by The Hop Concept, the same team of lifelong brewers behind Port Brewing Company. It’s that simple. Honest, hoppy beers, from the people who know how to make them. So slow down, inhale, and drink fresh.

Brewer's notes

Café Racer 15™ features aromas of bright citrus and resinous pine from the generous use of Citra, Amarillo, Cascade and Chinook hops which are complimented by a dry malt finish. The result is a high revving Double IPA that is loud and assertive, much like the rebellious street racers who inspired it. Never ride alone...

Bear Republic beers are brewed and aged following our time tested and proven methods. We hand select only the choicest ingredients for each batch. The specialty grains and hops used by Bear Republic have been chosen for their unique characteristics. The recipes and their final formulations were developed over a period of several years. Those wonderful home brewing sessions and the lessons learned from trial and error have established the solid foundations for each recipe’s commercial equivalents. It’s our goal to continually develop new recipes using our time tested brewing methods. We work hard at fostering a sense of loyalty and tradition from eras gone by.

Belching Beaver does not brew good beer. We brew truly great beer. Currently, we are crafting 7 distinct beers that range from blondes to stouts, which are sure to please anyone’s tastes. Our first priority is using quality ingredients to create the beer recipes at our microbrewery. When we decided to move forward with the brewery, we told Troy not to worry about how much money we were spending on ingredients. With a name like Belching Beaver, we better have great beer or we would be the biggest joke in town. We contracted our hops before we found a location or even bought equipment. I told Troy that I would throw any beer out and delay opening unless it was perfect. In truth, we had no worries because Troy makes great beer. He did not disappoint! As my wife would say, “It’s fabulous.” Our customers say, “They’re all fabulous.” As Dave would say…well he would sniff out each aroma hop, and then describe the grapefruit flavors, the honey overtones and the crisp clean orange peel that delights the palate. I just say, “Man, great beer!”
