Confidence of success, is almost success; and obstacles often fall of themselves before a determination to overcome them. There is something in resolution which has an influence beyond itself, and it marches on like a mighty lord amongst its slaves; all is prostration where it appears. When bent on good, it is almost the noblest attribute of man; when on evil, the most dangerous. It is by habitual resolution that men succeed to any great extent; impulses are not sufficient. What is done at one moment is undone the next; and a step forward is nothing gained unless it is followed up.

The Mac Slate
Wow!. Wouldn't that be cool!
A little birdy tells me that Apple will announce a 12 or 13-inch tablet in the fall of this year. Most likely in the September or October time frame.

iPod protection
One of the first items I had purchased for my first generation iPod nano was a protective case from Countour. The case cost me $19.95 from the Apple on-line store and it was money well spent. Each time I accidentally dropped my iPod from a desk or have it fall from my pocket as I bent over to tie a shoe lace it's value was realised. This hard plastic case protected my nano from what would have been certain death.
Since I "upgraded" to a second generation (aluminium) nano I plan to do the same. SkatterTech has a great review of the Agent19 nanoShield. It's already in my Apple shopping cart. I will wait until Black Friday to purchase in case Apple offers any discounts.
