Ecliptic Brewing’s Quasar Pale Ale

I am in Skillman, NJ, drinking Quasar Pale Ale by Ecliptic Brewing. Ecliptic Brewing is a Brew Pub in Portland, OR. Quasar Pale Ale beer style is Pale Ale – American, with an ABV of 6% and IBU of 65. I gave Quasar Pale Ale a 4 on Untappd’s 5 point rating system.

Bright yellow gold/orange colour. Aroma is pine mixed with tropical fruits. Moderately sweet.

Brewer’s notes

Inspired by its luminous namesake, Quasar is our light pale ale brewed for summer. Simcoe and Mosaic hops give Quasar Pale Ale a huge, fresh, tropical hop aroma. Flavorful and easy drinking, Quasar is a stellar beer for enjoying out under the sun.

Ecliptic Brewing is a venture from John Harris, an Oregon craft brewing icon. John’s background is one steeped in Oregon’s rich craft brewing history. He began as a brewer at McMenamins’ breweries; moved to Deschutes, where he created the recipes for Mirror Pond, Black Butte Porter, Jubelale and Obsidian Stout; and spent the next 20 years of his career as a brewmaster at Full Sail in charge of creating the Brewmaster Reserve line of Beers. The creation of Ecliptic Brewing is the next chapter in John’s illustrious career.
