Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve

Bhavna and I went for a walk in Mountain Lakes Nature Preserve in Princeton. I was hoping to see some fall colour, so I brought my camera and tripod. I found it but not where I expected. Many of the trees were either still in transition or had lost their leaves. I saw fall colour beneath my feet.

October Morning on Blue Spring Road

On my way back from Carnegie Lake, I wanted to capture the sunlight coming up on the line of maple trees on a section of Blue Spring Road. I took a photo of this same line of trees a year ago almost to the day. I wanted to re-create the image with my Fuji. Last years photo was taken with my iPhone 7.

My luck ran out. By the time I had parked and walked back to the line of trees, thick clouds had filled the sky. Completely. There was no magical dramatic light hitting the trees. Just flat light. Argh.

I took a set of photos, combined in Photo Matix Pro and pushed the colours. It's ok. It's not what I wanted. Perhaps the bad weather will be delayed to Saturday and perhaps I will get another chance tomorrow.
