Mail.app had a problem syncing up with Gmail via IMAP. No matter what I tried I could not get deleted messages to stay delete or Junk mail to disappear. I had to delete my Mail.app index and use a Gmail search to find old messages and delete them. Unfortunately Mail.app kept recreating the Drafts folder with older messages and of course sending them out. Aaargh!!!
