Not bad!

Jim Koch founded the Boston Beer Company back in 1984 after brewing the first batch of Samuel Adams Boston Lager in his kitchen. It was his mission to reshape the way American beer drinkers thought of American beer.

Just six weeks after introducing Samuel Adams Boston Lager to the public, it brought home the "Best Beer in America" honors at the Great American Beer Festival in Denver. An honor it went on to win 3 more times before that particular award was discontinued.

Today, Samuel Adams makes more than 21 styles of award-winning beer and is recognized around the globe as a hothouse of new beer ideas.

If you share our passion, join us here as a fan!

Cheers!

Flounder Brewing Co's Shelf Clearer

I am drinking a Shelf Clearer by Flounder Brewing Co @flounderbrewing.

[exif id="37098"]

  • Beer: Shelf Clearer
  • Style: IPA - New England
  • Alcohol by volume (ABV): 6.1%
  • IBU: 0
  • My rating: 3.75/5
  • Brewer's notes: Shelf Clearer pays homage to it’s brew day where we cleaned out one of our shelves of hops. Brewed with lactose, oats, and 5 pounds of hops per barrel, Shelf Clearer pours a hazy straw color with a super creamy head. A combination of Belma, Pacific Gem, El Dorado, and Columbus hops make way for a slight dank, lemon citrus aroma. The taste follows suit with ripened tangerine and oranges along with a hint of peaches and strawberries.
