As long as the conversation for something on micro.blog starts on your own site, the replies that occur there will generally flow back to your site via Webmention, but sadly one needs to use some manual chicanery to get a similar back and forth effect with other services like Twitter.
Chris, I think that is the problem I have with micro.blog. When I post on my own site and syndicate to Tumblr or WordPress.com, the entire post is created. With I syndicate to micro.blog, it's just a post title and a link. Twitter and Facebook support summary cards. Micro.blog does not.
Micro.blog just feels like another silo.
It's frustrating.
