May 4, 2011 - Dr. Joel Fuhrman

Dr Joel Fuhrman is a noted doctor — he calls himself a Nutritarian — who proscribed eating the typical American diets high in calories but lacking in nutrition. Dr Fuhrman was at Volition Wellness in Skillman, telling us that we need animal protein from our diet and eat more leafy greens, nuts and fruits. Not just a little more but a LOT more. After making me feel bad for eating the occasional burger and hot dog, Dr Fuhrman spent some time signing copies of his book, “Eat to Live”. Since I had the Kindle version of the book, I suggested he sign a screenshot of the book cover on my iPad. It works for me.

May 3, 2011 - Times Square

I was in Manhattan again today for the second day of the IANS Forum. The multiple exits at Penn Station confused me. I travel to New York infrequently, so I don’t have a preferred route worked out. Today, I exited somewhere near 37th St. and walked towards 7th Avenue before realising my mistake. I had wanted to take the same path on 5th Avenue that I took the previous day. I corrected my path, which took me directly toward Times Square.
