Print Sale - "Rodanthe at Sunrise"

I am offering prints of my landscape images for sale. I will be personally taking care of fulfilling these orders via my print provider, CanvasPop. CanvasPop uses the best quality canvas: a 16-inch x 25-inch matte-textured, 20.5 mils bright white, consistent poly-cotton blend. The quality canvas prints are designed to last over 100 years without fading. CanvasPop finishes every canvas print with a protective scratch-resistant UV laminate to make sure the print stays sharp for life.

Each print arrives ready to hang out of the box and includes everything you need to hang the print, including gallery-strength piano wire and protective rubber bumpers.

This is one of the first prints I shall be offering. Your purchase of a print will help me continue to improve my craft. Once you click the link, you will be taken to the CanvasPop web where you can see the print size and pricing options.

I released these two iPhone images as Creative Commons Zero (CC0) images via Unsplash. They were both shots at Rodanthe Beach on a tripod using the Slow Shutter Cam app on my iPhone. I think a VSCO Cam filter was applied but I don't remember.

Slow Sunrise at Rodanthe Pier

I drove down to Rodanthe Pier this morning. I was determined to get a shot of the pier in the early morning light of magic hour. I had my Nikon, my tripod, my neutral density filter.

But while waiting between frames, I placed my iPhone 6 in the side mount on my tripod. I mostly use it for controlling my camera when using the TriggerTrap software and dongle.

I took a few test shots using the Slow Shutter app set to a shutter speed of 60 seconds. I locked in the focus on the end of the pier and set the initial exposure but enabled auto exposure. I applied the Dramatic preset in Photogene 4.

I like the result. I hope the images I captured on my Nikon are as good. I think I understand why the compact camera market has declined.
