Islamic Center of Cleveland

On 20 May 2023, my daughter was married at the Islamic Center of Cleveland. I have some photographs from the event but do not have my daughter's permission to share the photographs on my blog. The topic of photography within Islam is complicated.

    1. The Quran doesn’t mention photography but in, there are differing opinions regarding photography. Some scholars consider it permissible as long as certain conditions are met, such as avoiding the creation or display of inappropriate or indecent images. Other scholars have expressed concerns about the potential for idolatry or the imitation of creation.

It seems the answer is “it depends on which human” you’re talking to.
