In 1824 Thomas Jefferson deemed coffee “the favorite drink of the civilised world.” Monticello.org
Thomas Jefferson was born April 13, 1743, at Shadwell, Virginia and died July 4, 1826, Monticello. I started reading more about him recently. Just because. I found some of the information fascinating.
Thomas Jefferson — author of the Declaration of Independence and the Statute of Virginia for Religious Freedom, third president of the United States, and founder of the University of Virginia — voiced the aspirations of a new America as no other individual of his era. As public official, historian, philosopher, and plantation owner, he served his country for over five decades.Monticell.org
Today I’m drinking Allegro Sumatra coffee from Whole Foods. Bhavana liked it. She noted that the taste had hints of fruit.
The mug I picked up in Washington, D.C., a few years ago, during a family vacation.
I’ve enjoyed shooting with my AF-S Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 recently. The bokeh at f/2.8 is lovely.
