I asked for more money which requires the recruiter to go back to HR. I bought myself at least the weekend or more. I think the extra will offset the commute's extra cost, but it'll increase taxes (workers from out of state have to pay New York City taxes). The role is fully remote until the company decides otherwise, but I'm hoping they'll be flexible once they decide the return to the 1950's mentality of "asses in chairs looking busy". According to the Financial Times, it's mostly sociopaths who want to return to the office.
