Weekly Wrap Up

[exif id="17547"]

I'm trying something new. Social media is a time suck and mental suck for me for many reasons. I would say to myself "I'm just checking in" only to find myself staring at timelines a few hours later. After thinking about this I have decided that I would compile some of the links I shared to Facebook during the week into one blog post on the weekend. I haven't decided if that will be Sunday or Saturday. I also don't know if I will have the discipline to see it through. But starting with this blog post I am giving it a go.

The first day of spring was marred by the arrival of about 6 inches of snow which fell Friday morning and continued well into the night. Friday evening, I walked out of the office at the end of the day, slid my way across the inches of slush in the parking lot, and dug my car out from under 6 inches of snow. With soaked shoes and socks I drove home. Each red traffic light was an opportunity to test my car's traction control system. It took me about 45 minutes to travel the 14 miles from the office. Time to sit and drink a six pack. And then another. Because this weather sucks!

Saturday morning, I attended a course on pricing for photography services taught by Jennifer Pierce of Harlingen Road Studio. Caught these images while waiting and chatting with some of the course attendees.

Kiran got a new gecko which she acquired from the same breeder that provided Nomius. After much debate she choose to name her Charlotte. Charlotte is feisty and active. She's about a year old.

I drank a lot of ale this weekend. On Friday I stopped by a liquor store in Ewing and bought a "make your own" six pack. I filled with ale from Cricket Hill and five ales from Fort Collins, Hoptitude, Black Sheep Black IPA,Oktoberfest,Rocky Mountain IPA,Hefeweizen. I just drank the last one with a shawarma sandwich from Mamoun's in Princeton.
