Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018) from letterboxd.com

Miles Morales is juggling his life between being a high school student and being a spider-man. When Wilson "Kingpin" Fisk uses a super collider, others from across the Spider-Verse are transported to this dimension.

When I was a young boy growing up in the West Indies, Superman, Batman, Shazam and Spiderman were among my favourite superhero comic book characters. I would lay in bed at night, half-asleep, dreaming of saving the world. I would play in the trees in the woods behind the house, swinging between the branches pretending to be Spiderman. I didn't realise the impact of the Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse had on me until I watched again last night. Watching a dark-skinned Mile Morales swing his way through New York City gave me goosebumps. Please Marvel, more like this! I can't wait for the sequel.
