A personal blog by Khürt Williams, with imagery, and inchoate ramblings on coffee, beer, and geekery.
As a landscape photographer I’ve been lucky enough to spend time photographing Iceland, parts of Canada, and much of the western USA. Thankfully I’ve picked up a few things along the way. In this article I want to share one of the most important tools in my bag: the wide angle lens. Derek Kind
The widest lens I have is an AF-S Nikkor 18-55m f/3.5-5.6. On an APS-C sensor camera like my Nikon D5100, this is lens provides the same point-of-view as a 27-82mm f5/3-8.4 lens on a 35 mm sensor camera. It’s not quite as wide angle as I would like but it’s what my budget allows for at this point.
