60 Seconds at Carnegie Lake ...

A few weeks ago, when I looked out the window and saw the light fog hanging over the area, I knew I needed to hurry. I quickly assembled my diabetes kit, bolus for my liquid breakfast of Soylent, packed my TimBuk2 messenger bag, grabbed my iPhone 6 and Nikon D5100 and headed out the door. Sunrise at Rodanthe Pier

This is the Nikon version of one of the images I captured with my iPhone 6 and the Slow Shutter app. I like the orange-red of the sky and how it is reflected off the water on the beach. The image was shot my Nikon D5100 on a tripod at three exposures (-2/0/2) and combined in Photomatix Pro with the Natural preset to create an HDR. I removed several sensor spots in Adobe Lightroom and then applied the Kodak Gold…
