52 Week Smartphone Challenge : Week 25 : Freedom

Freedom means many things to many people. Tell us a story about what Freedom means to you.

After being cooped up inside all week, just being outside in these wide-open spaces, is a relief. I can be free to imagine that we are getting closer to having our freedom back. But of course, the reality is that until there is a vaccine, we can't expect to have our lives back.

52 Week Smartphone Challenge : Week 24 : Who inspires you?

Inspiration comes from many places. Tell us about who inspires you.

It seems that many of us are struggling with creativity at the moment. But that is to be expected. It wouldn't be much of a challenge if it were not, you know, challenging.

The theonlyd800inthehameau has submitted a screenshot of Jerry Garcia of the Grateful Dead. I won't judge. I'll take it.

Photographers Frank Veronsky has inspired my photography today. I've known Frank for many years enjoying his quirky way of seeing when it comes to fashion photography. I was on my way to pick up beer from Conclave Brewing when the cars ahead of me stopped to allow a train to pass. I noticed a spot on the side of the river and pulled over, hoping to grab a shot of the passing train. I was too late to photograph the train, but I captured this image of the train tracks. I then applied Kevin Mullin's Film Negative preset. I don't know why, but that was what came to my mind.

What do you think?

52 Week Smartphone Challenge : Week 23 : Leading lines

You have already used leading lines to show Infinity. Now try to use strong leading lines in food photography.

I have to agree with theonlyd800inthehameau, I think leading lines is an odd thing to include in food photography. I was not well prepared for this week's challenge. While lining things up for an Untappd1 photograph of my craft ale for the afternoon that I saw the line leading from the mug and can up to the face on the TV screen. That's a leading line right? IThe beer glass and the can cross the lines of the bottom of the television frame.

Some would argue that craft ale isn't food. That's debatable. It's made from the same ingredients as bread.
