The High Line, New York's only elevated park, is a brilliantly-conceived conversion of an historic out-of-use railroad trestle into a public landscape. Hudson Yards, New York’s newest neighborhood, is connected to the northerly section of the High Line. Its "extraordinary centerpiece", just opened this year, is The Vessel, a "soaring new landmark meant to be climbed". The High Line offers photographers some of the best views in New York, intriguing street photography and interesting composition opportunities. The Vessel, with its spiral staircase, provides us with "new perspectives of the city (and one another) from different heights, angles and vantage points."
We'll begin with a discussion of composition and camera settings. As evening approaches, we will enter the vessel for an hour of amazing low-light and night shooting.

Explore Cherry Street and Race Street Piers
Saturday, March 28, 2020, 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm (Rain date March 29)
Instructor: Jenny Lynn
The new indoor/outdoor Cherry Street Pier, on Philadelphia's Delaware River waterfront, preserves the historic character of a 100 year-old warehouse with its original railroad tracks, steel-trussed roof and masonry headhouses. This vibrant year-round space is replete with photographic opportunities including working artist studios in repurposed cargo shipping containers, an active bazaar and abundant street photography. We will also visit Race Street Pier next door — a landscaped park suspended over the Delaware River beneath the Benjamin Franklin Bridge — to capture dramatic views of the bridge, visitors to the park, the waterfront, and the passing barges and boats.
Health problems throughout 2019 limited my access to many photography events and workshops. After Monday's surgery, those limitations will be gone.

I had fun and learnt quite a bit about the practice of black and white landscape and cityscape photography from Ossian Lindholm. I'm excited to apply what I have learned using DXO Silver Efx Pro 2 - Day 22.
