I am in drinking Windlass of Erasmus by Nightmare Brewing Company, a Contract Brewery in . Windlass of Erasmus is an Sour – Gose, with an ABV of 6.5 and IBU of 0. I gave this beer a 3.75 on Untappd’s 5 point rating system.

Gose with Blackberries, Blackcurrants, and Black Sea salt.

Based more off of Nicolas Poussin’s 17th century painting as well as the 15th century medieval fresco in the Båstad church than the on the many exaggerated versions of his torture. The patron Saint of Sailors had his stomach slit open and his intestines wound around a Windlass. Blackberries, Blackcurrants and Black Sea Salt combine for an approachable sour with Cabernet Sauvignon notes and blood-like color and viscosity. Jammy, earthy, cassis, light brine and back of the palate tartness.

I am in Skillman, NJ, drinking Fatamorgana by Omnipollo. Omnipollo is a Contract Brewery in Stockholm, . Fatamorgana beer style is IPA – Imperial / Double New England, with an ABV of 8% and IBU of 100. I gave Fatamorgana a 3.5 on Untappd’s 5 point rating system.

Brewer’s notes

Drawing inspiration from the fidelity of a saison — rustic, alluringly cloudy and crisp — this imperial IPA was brewed using oats and wheat. Dry-hopped twice and completely untouched post fermentation to preserve aroma and flavor.
