Latte at Rojo's Roastery

Rojo's Roastery

It’s been a few weeks since I visited are Rojo's Roastery. When I work locally it’s easy to develop relationships with local businesses. It's harder when I can drop in only once during the week and on the weekend. When I worked locally - several years ago - Rojo's and By The Cup in Rocky Hill was on my daily routine. Stop in, grab a latte, continue to the office. Sometimes, on my lunch hour, I would drive to Nassau Street for a lobster roll sandwich at Nassau Street Seafood or Hoagie Haven.

I miss it.

ReAnimator Speciality Instant Coffee Ethiopia Siko

Ethiopia Siko (ReAnimator Coffee)

Tasting Notes: Floral, Melon, Sugary. Processed in collaboration with our friends at Swift Cup Coffee, with careful brewing practices and attention to detail paid throughout the freeze-drying.

After reading about ReAnimator Speciality Instant Coffee on Sprudge, I decided to try the Ethiopia Tadese Gemeda. This morning I made a cup after finishing my cup of coffee brewed in my Chemex from three-day-old beans I purchased earlier in the week from my local roaster.

I expected ReAnimator Speciality Instant Coffee to taste better than the instant coffee that my parent drank when I was a kid. It did not.

Time for Coffee

This morning, I ventured out to Rojo's Roastery for a cappuccino. There wasn't much activity on Palmer Square.

I am enjoying experimentation with Fuji Film Simulation recipes for my Fuji X-T2. This one from Ritchie Roesch is a simulation of Ilford HP5 Plus. This image is SOC.
