Trevor's has a well-organised system that I think I am going to duplicate. I have just one camera, the Fuji X-T2 and one lens (Fujinon XF16-55mm R LM WR) which I use with an insert that is similar to your light-weight kit. I pop that into a messenger bag for when I am hanging out in New York City or Philadelphia with friends. However, I think the 16-55mm may be too heavy/bulky for that.
For me, I think the Fujinon XF27mmF2.8 R or XF23mmF2 R WR would be better suited for the ultra light-weight kit. The XF27mmF2.8 R approximates the field of view of a full-frame "normal" lens but has no aperture ring. I think this is just right for street photography. I would want to fix my aperture at F5.6 or F8. Another idea is I could purchase a Fuji X100F for this purpose. It would fit nicely within the ultra light-weight bag.
For a lightweight city/travel kit, would the Manfrotto Street Backpack be big enough to hold the Fujinon XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR + XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR, along with with four batteries, a MeFoto travel tripod, and a bag of trail mix?
The (Invincible) Landscaper1 kit would be:
- Body: Fujifilm X-T2
- Wide to Medium Telephoto: Fujinon XF16-55mmF2.8 R LM WR
- Telephoto: Fujinon XF50-140mmF2.8 R LM OIS WR lens
- Street: Fujinon XF23mmF2 R WR lens or Fujifilm X100F
- MeFo travel tripod or Manfrotto tripod
- Plenty of batteries (4) and memory cards (2)
- I like the title. I am borrowing it. ↩
