The kids are "camping" out with their cousins at their uncle's home. Their cousin is too little to "rough" it in the backyard — some of the "big" kids are scared too — so they are actually using sleeping bags in the basement. Before they wound down for the night, we toasted marshmallows and made s'mores. The younger kids retired to the basement to read while the bigger kids sat next to the fire and attempted to scare each other with ghost stories. Coincidentally my camera caught some weird reflection of the fire in the lens creating this green ghosting effect around heads.
My kids and I were very excited when we looked out the kitchen window to see four baby foxes scampering around in the backyard. As quickly but silently as I could, I went through the back door to grab a few shots. I was not quick enough to catch them playing before they heard me and ran off.
She was hiding near the backside of my deck when my daughter spotted from the kitchen window. We gingerly opened the sliding door but I barely had time to focus before she bounded off through a hole in the fence.
