Blog readership is dropping

My blog readership has been falling for several years. It was even lower in 2018. I am not sure if the cause is my gradual shift away from "how-to" style posts to more of a focus on photo blogging. Perhaps it's time to return to a weekly schedule of one opinion posts, one technical post and one photography post. Perhaps I can remove the beer check-ins. 2016 Blog Report

It seems WordPress.com has done away with the annual blog report they typically release in January of the previous year. As a JetPack user, I get this report for each of the blogs I have connected to WordPress.com through that plugin. Although I didn't see any official announcements, I think WordPress.com have done away with this feature. In 2016 15,141 visitors viewed my blog 23,271 times, and I published 130 posts. Nicola published his so I'm publishing mine. The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 36,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 13 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
