With the support of the medical community, a panel of New Jersey State Senators voted to eliminate religion as an acceptable reason for New Jersey children to avoid vaccines required for school attendance. The vote was split along party lines. I find it interesting that Republican senators object to this bill. State Sen. Gerald Cardinale, R-Bergen argued: "It’s their own right to follow their conscience.” Does she think the same about abortion?
