The kids had a Tae Kwon Do tournaments today. The point of the tournament is to get them used to competition - something they may have to do at the black belt level. They usually don't enjoy it - especially the sparring - and this time was no different. I keep telling them that their discomfort and confidence will rise if they practice more. Spending more time at the academy, taking every class offered, will help them master forms and other skills they'll need to pass the black belt test. Will they listen.
