After finishing my coffee at Sakird Coffee Roaster, I stood on the Nassau Street sidewalk near my parked car, trying out Fuji X Weekly’s Ilford XP2 Super 400 Film Simulation. I was intentionally underexposing to bring down the highlights. I was just about to get back in my car when I heard a voice: Are you taking my picture?

I looked up and saw her standing there; all dressed up.
I apologised: I’m an amateur, not a professional

She quickly responded: Well, I’m a professional if you know what I mean
.
I didn’t know how to respond. I smiled and stepped back to frame her. She posed, and I pushed the shutter. She walked away before I could think to ask her name.
