This community event, an exciting celebration of Asian culture, was sponsored by the Montgomery High School students of the Asian Heritage Club and the Chinese Language Program. My kids got to dress up in Kimono’s and eat various Asian foods - dumplings, rice pilaf, and various noodles. A large part of the proceeds from this event will be donated to aid earthquake and tsunami victims in Japan. I also talked to someone from a group that brings awareness to efforts to recycle plastic bottles into clothing and bedding.
