A friend bought back a "Thinking Man" sculpture for me from a recent trip to South Africa. He was born in Sri Lanka but raised in South Africa. It’s his home. He considers himself African. The sculpture sits on my desk. Throughout my day, it serves as a reminder to stop “doing” and to take some time to “be”.
