Isolation Photo Project, Day 39

I didn't go outside at all today. The air was damp, and the sky was a dark, moody overcast mess. Right now it's raining hard outside. This evening, Bhavna and Kiran went out for a walk and got caught out in the rain. They arrived home soaking wet.

According to the Zyrtec app, the pollen count was high today. This morning I opened the window near my work desk just a crack to listen to the birds while I read the morning tech news. I completely forgot I had the window open and it wasn't until 6 PM when I complained to my wife that my eyes were itchy that I realised that my allergies were to blame.

I continue to experiment with twirls and radial blur features of Photoshop.

    1. When I had auto-approval on for comments I would not notice I had comments. But I want to be sure I see each new comment so I set my WordPress to require approval before comments appear.

  1. This is lovely, Khürt. It's like a flower emering in the middle. We have had two days with soft rain in Norfolk and finally the water butts are filling up again. It has been much too dry here. I used to suffer from hayfever as long as I can remember, but since a few years I have hardly any symptoms, maybe when mowing the lawn in July. Hope you feel better soon.

    1. Hi Hanne. I’m originally from the Caribbean and not allergic to any tropical plants. However, it appears I am allergic to almost all the tree pollen from the trees that grow in the northern part of the United States. Even July offers no relief as I am allergic to the grass pollen. And in the damps months I am allergic to mould. Despite all that I love my towns forests and woodlands.

Let’s hope you get the rains that you need to fill those water butts.

    1. Thank you. We still have April weather in this part of New Jersey. The weather is best described as days of overcast skies, rain, high humidity, and low temperatures followed by one day of sunny skies, higher temperatures and high pollen count. The local hiking trails and woods are "swampy" and not enjoyable so I have been keeping inside. I'm not sure what I'll photograph today.

    1. Thank you, Jane. The allergies will subside in July, but you'll see me outside and in the woods anyway. I can't help myself. I need the outdoors.
