Isolation Photo Project, Day 18

Flash thunderstorm this afternoon.

My images are about to change.

The New Jersey Governor has closed all state and county parks, woods and forests regardless of which part of the state you reside. The central, southern and far northern end of the state has much fewer people, more farms, but larger woods and forests. I have encountered just a few -- less than a handful -- of people on my hikes with my wife. There is always space for social distancing in the wood and forests. We are still allowed out to walk around our neighbourhood but given how many people are out walking (including owners of pets) on the sidewalks, that is unsafe.

Fortunately, a few non-government open spaces are still open. But it's a very small number.

As a nemophilist, this is soul-crushing.

I well understand your feelings. Today is the 31th day of strict lockdown and I have still many days ahead, probably until 15 of May or more...

    Meanwhile, be strong, stay safe!

    Best,
