Isolation Photo Project, Day 16

Jeff's Isolation Photo Project is all about capturing at least one photograph a day without leaving your backyard. For the project, I have photographed around Downton Princeton, in the nearby forest hiking trails, inside my house, but I have not yet photographed my backyard. Until now.

Until now, my backyard had been mostly devoid of anything I consider attractive. I live in a planned community of townhomes where everything is designed to be “vanilla”. Our backyard is shared, community space, with several other units. There is a fence that separates our community from an estate and some woods. We are fortunate in that our section of townhomes has more forests than others. Right along the fence is one or two of the original trees from before the houses were built. Each year I have noticed a patch of spring beauties, claytonia Virginia, appear. Up until now, there was nothing all week, but today, the "beauties" have bloomed.
