Harviestoun Ola Dubh 18 Year Special Reserve Ale taste like something one should pair with a cigar while sitting in a leather chair. The oak casks used to flavor this ale were used to mature Highland Park's 18 year old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. You can taste the whisky and a hint of the cherry wood.

Highland Park is from Scotland, so it's whisky, not whiskey.
Thanks Michael. I did not realize there was a spelling difference. The Oxford Dictionary seems to indicate that either usage is fine -- so long as I'm not in Scotland.

I have a bottle of Highland Park 12 at home. Might have a drink tonight.
