On 1st October, Minneapolis photographer Daniel Sigg will launch CREATE. PHOTOGRAPHY., a podcast focused on the creative side of photography. Daniel hopes his podcast will inspire and provide new creative perspectives. Daniel photographs primarily on film.
Daniel provided his "launch team" with early access to the first few podcast episodes. The first episode is introductory. In the second episode, Daniel Sigg discusses mindfulness in photography and the concept of visualization of photographs, something that I strive for in my everyday casual photography.
In the third episode, Daniel hosts Australian freelance photographer and filmmaker Hashem McAdam. Hashem and Daniel discuss how too many options can hurt creativity and how limitation can paradoxically increase it. I found myself nodding my head when Haseem compares using one lens and one camera body to competence in a sport. One can either play multiple sports with mediocrity or focus on just one sport; practising that sport on a regular basis can lead to mastery. The two briefly discuss gear, with Hashem admiring Fujifilm cameras and expressing a love for the 40mm focal length.
Daniel has released the first, second and third episodes of the podcast on his blog.
Submitted for the 100DaysToOffload project.
