Bodie Island Lighthouse

A shot of the Bodie Island Lighthouse taken on the last day of a family vacation to the Outerbanks, NC. The weather was mostly overcast the whole week, and I had capture very of the shots I had planned for the week.

Of course, the weather was near perfect on the last day of the vacation. My wife was feeling sorry for me, so she didn’t complain when I asked to stop and see the lighthouse. It was quite windy. We checked in at the visitor centre and bought tickets for the very last tour of the lighthouse for that day.

Three image HDR in Photomatix Pro with the Natural preset and converted to black & white. The photographs in the earlier post has images taken from the observation deck of the lighthouse. I shot these with my Nikon on a tripod.
