Apple NTP Security Update

I understand why Apple did this but, given how much crappy software Apple has released, I’m not happy about the company “reaching into” my computer and installing software without my permission or knowledge.Apple pushes first ever automated security update to Mac users.

Oh. I give up. Apple just can't please any side of this argument. If Apple makes a major security patch available and few consumers -- they kind that don't read tech blogs -- install it, they are damned by tech journalist. If Apple automatically pushes out and installs security updates to consumers, they are damned by tech journalist.
