I don't have much to add to the discussion but wanted to voice my dissatisfaction with Gutenberg and how it disrupts my recently discovered IndieWeb power (Webmentions). I considered switching to Jekyll, Hugo or Grav but ran into challenges migrating over 15 years of content and several thousand posts.

It is just a WordPress plugin myblog.com/post would redirect to archive.myblog.com/post you would do nothing

I feel your pain, especially on migration, my strategy is to add a redirect plugin and throw my old site on a subdomain called archive.... Migration is hard. The web can be forever.
A unified search tool of both places be cool.

Hi Greg, my site URL structure is http://142.93.124.147/sample_post. I don't know how redirect would work for that. This is all becoming too hard.
