Shaan is enjoying building interesting things with his K'Nex. Today he built a "phonograph" with a hand cranked turntable and a hand operated egg beater with gears. Very cool.

Dolly world
I have always wanted a doll house for Kiran and this year I rewarded myself. 🙂
The Fisher Price Doll House is not what I had in mind. I wanted a wooden doll house but...This was highly rated on Amazon and wooden doll houses cost a mint.
Kiran did not care. She is/was very excited about her doll house and I am sure hours of great pretend fun are in the future.
Erector set
Shaan received two Erector Construction kits for the holidays. We had fun building a bi-plane. I played with Erector sets when I was a kid and had hours of fun learning. Shaan's kits are plastic pieces for the 4-8 year old. The sets I played with as a kid were metal. Erector sells those for the 8-15 age range. Two more years and my young engineer and I will be tearing the house apart and blowing things up in the basement lab.
