The court relied on a fed­eral law aimed at com­puter intru­sions in issu­ing its order, hold­ing that even dis­cussing the flaws at a pub­lic con­fer­ence con­sti­tuted a “trans­mis­sion” of a com­puter pro­gram that could harm the fare col­lec­tion sys­tem.
